Hi,I'mKatGurley.

Poet. Novelist. National Treasure.

I'm obsessed with writing. I live it, breathe it—and yes, I've even tried to eat it. What I love most about words is their power to weave worlds. To leave you delighted, devastated, dazzled, or destroyed.

"Writing is my world. Welcome to it."

AboutMe

Kat Gurley

Born in Bangkok and raised all over the globe, I caught the travel bug early—and the writing bug even earlier. From the moment I could read, I didn't just want to follow the story—I wanted to write it. Adventure, for me, lives both out in the world and deep in the pages of a good book.

These days, I call Amsterdam home, where I spend my time crafting poems, romance novels, and silly social posts that make me chuckle. I recently finished my second novel, Teaching the Professor—a swoony, slow-burn gay romance I'm currently preparing for publication.

My first novel? Written at age 15 under a pseudonym I'll take to my grave. Let's just say it had potential—and leave it at that. (I'm rewriting it now, and it's finally becoming the book teenage me meant to write.) Whether it's heartbreak or hilarity, I write to feel—and to hopefully make you feel something, too.
